Om det inte hade varit för Internet så hade många av oss i Sverige som bryr sig om vad som verkligen händer i världen förmodligen inte haft någon som helst möjlighet att ta del av någon någorlunda bra nyhetsförmedling. Många hackar på t ex FoxNews (en enligt mig alldeles underbar nyhetskanal jämfört med många andra), men vad tittar de själva på? Jo de tittar på SVT, de lyssnar på nyheter på den statliga radion, de läser TT-telegram i tidningarna. De blir ständigt exponerade för nyhetsredaktioner som består nästan uteslutande av socialister och kommunister, dvs antiamerikaner och antiisraeler. Så allt de rapporterar vinklas i regel alltid emot Israel eller USA. Syftet är att få deras irrationella hat mot USA och Israel att framstå som rationellt för den vanlige nyhetskonsumenten.

De har vid åtskilliga tillfällen visat sig helt oförmögna att leverera saklig nyhetsrapportering (dvs att hålla sig till fakta). (Detta är för övrigt också något som vänstermedierna i USA lider av, se bara på ”Rathergate”.) Detta visar sig inte minst i deras rapportering om konflikten mellan Israel och arabstaterna i Mellanöstern. En som ägnar mycket tid åt att granska hur TT förmedlar nyheter framför allt i den här konflikten är en blogg som heter TT-kritik. Det är en väldigt bra blogg och jag rekommenderar därför alla att då och då göra sig ett besök där. Nu senast berättar man på TT-kritik om en mycket sjuk och omoralisk rubriksättning. Bakgrunden är den att två ”palestinska” terrorister mördade ett israeliskt par. Det israeliska försvaret reagerade naturligtvis genom att jaga dem och sedan döda dem. Hur blev rubriken? ”TVÅ PALESTINIER DÖDADE”. Ett annat exempel är när de avsiktligen förvrängde vad Ariel Sharon sade vid ett tillfälle. I originalet från AFP stod det så här: ”Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has said that agreements signed by Arab leaders are not worth the paper they are written on.” Hur formulerade TT om detta? ”Israels premiärminister Ariel Sharon hävdar att avtal med araber är totalt värdelösa, rapporterar en israelisk tidning.” Otroligt men sant.

Kanske för att irakierna ogillar att USA försöker tränar dem. I Salt Lake Tribune kunde man läsa:

According to an account of the report in The New York Times, ”only ‘a small number’ of Iraqi security forces are capable of fighting the insurgency without American assistance, while about one-third of the army is capable of ‘planning, executing and sustaining counterinsurgency operations’ with allied support.” In other words, the progress in getting Iraqi soldiers and police officers trained, equipped and capable of taking the fight to the enemy is painfully slow. That, in turn, means that the United States will not be able to begin to withdraw its 140,000 troops anytime soon.

Detta betyder att USA kommer i flera år framöver kommer att offra ännu fler av sina soldater. Och för vad? Tidningen fortsätter:

The snail’s pace at getting Iraqi units ready to fight on their own is testament to the great difficulty of building an army and police force from the ground up in the midst of a brutal war. No one said this was going to be easy. But it also suggests something else, something darker. American journalists report that Iraqis in the armed forces are resentful of the U.S. soldiers who are trying to train them. In a fight, the Iraqis cut and run. They are in the army or the police not because of patriotic fervor but because they need a paycheck. That is not true of all units. Some have performed very well. But in the Sunni triangle, the loyalty of government forces is questionable and their performance reflects that. (Min kursivering.)

Så USA ska stanna kvar, gå med på att utsätta ännu fler av sina soldater för den helt onödiga risken att slaktas i attacker, för vad? Så att OTACKSAMMA irakier, som ju hatar dem, kan ta del av avlönat arbete.

Tidningen avslutar med: ”This raises the question of whether the continued presence of U.S. forces is doing more to fan the flames of the insurgency and anti-American sentiment than it is to quell them. Iraqi soldiers and police committed to the fight can be trained to do the job. But if they view the Americans as the enemy, no amount of training will succeed.”

Det enda jag vill tillägga är att om irakierna betraktar USA som fienden, då bör USA inse att de inte har BESEGRAT irakierna (i varje fall inte de inom sunnitriangeln) och att de borde betrakta och BEHANDLA dem som fiender TILLS dess att de GER UPP villkorslöst. Det är vad som krävs för att vinna mot ”motståndsmännen” i Irak.

Om ett land lägger ned skitmycket pengar på att bli extremt militariserat, och det öppet skryter att det kan träffa hundratals amerikanska städer med kärnvapen, t o m hotar om att använda sina kärnvapen om USA ”lägger sig i” landets angelägenheter – hur ska man då förstå detta landet som något annat än just HOTFULLT? Vad är det för land jag pratar om? Kina förstås.

On his last visit to relatives in Pakistan this year, one of the London bombers, Shehzad Tanweer, boasted of wanting to die in a revenge attack over the way Muslims are treated.

Vilka muslimer? Var då? Behandlade på vilket sätt?

While his family in Leeds had no idea about his suicide mission, Tanweer confessed to his cousin his ambition to become a “holy warrior”. At his father’s home village 30 miles from Faisalabad, Mohammad Saleem described yesterday how Tanweer, 22, hero-worshipped Osama bin Laden.

OK, så Usama bin Laden är hans stora hjälte. Men Usama bin Laden vill ju etablera ett styre som innebär ett systematiskt förtryck av allt och alla, där det inte finns någon religionsfrihet, yttrandefrihet, etc (se bara på Talibanernas Afghanistan). Hur muslimer blir behandlade av andra muslimer tycks inte störa det här Usama-wannabe-fjanten.

Mr Saleem supported his cousin’s bombing at Aldgate station which killed seven people, saying: “Whatever he has done, if he has done it, then he has done right.” He recalled how Tanweer argued with family and friends about the need for violent retaliation over US abuse of Muslim prisoners in Guantanamo Bay.

Så vår lille Usama-wannabe ville hämnas för att USA i självförsvar arresterade al-Qaida-krigare, talibaner och andra terrorister. Dvs han vill hämnas på USA därför att USA i självförsvar arresterar människor som var skyldiga till massmord av oskyldiga amerikaner eller som tänkte göra sig själva skyldiga – och som oavsett vilket bar ett moraliskt ansvar för allt dödande. Detta säger ju en del om hur muslimer ser på det här med rättvisa…

Tanweer was no stranger to the village of Chak No 477, where his grandfather and several cousins live. During his last trip, the college dropout was visited by another of the bombers, Mohammad Sidique Khan. They are said to have met a known al-Qaeda activist who has since been jailed for bombing a church. “Whenever he would listen about sufferings of Muslims he would become very emotional and sentimental,” Mr Saleem said.

Vad är det för muslimers påstådda lidande han blev så upprörd över? Det faktum att en Al-Qaida ”aktivist” hamnade i fängelse för terrorism? Jag tror för övrigt inte att han fäller några tårar över hur muslimerna blir behandlade om hans stora hjälte, Usama bin Laden, får som han vill.

“He was a good Muslim . . . he also wished to take part in jihad and lay down his life. After Tanweer’s death, more than 2,000 villagers turned out to pray for him.

Så 2000 muslimer bad för honom därför att han var en god muslim eftersom han mördade oskyldiga människor!

Denna korta artikel säger allt om islam och dess extrema anhängare: De är religiösa fanatiker, galningar, bestämda på att mörda allt och alla som står i vägen för deras totalitära islam. De slåss inte som ”hämnd” för någon orättvisa. De vet inte ens vad rättvisa är.

Läste alldeles nyss att en av de misstänkta terroristerna har blivit ihjälskjutna i Storbritannien.

Sky News rapporterar att polisen i London bekräftar att en terroristmisstänkt skjutits till döds i tunnelbanan. Med tanke på att ögonvittnen som intervjuats av Sky berättar att flera poliser ingrep samtidigt och koordinerat mot den misstänkte, framstår spaningsarbetet som effektivt. Och polisen har haft order om att skjuta hellre än att låta misstänkta självmordsbombare smälla av sina bomber. Terroristexpert som just nu intervjuas utgår ifrån att man skjutit den misstänkte i huvudet, eftersom ett skott i benet eller magen ger den skjutne tid att utlösa bomben. ”De som uppträder totalt hänsynslöst, måste bemötas på samma sätt”. Hear, hear.

Per Ahlmark om vad som drev mördarna i London.

Allt sedan Londonbombningarna den 7 juli 2005 har jag ägnat mig nästan uteslutande åt att i olika blogginlägg diskutera vad jag kallat för kriget mot totalitär islam. Det är för oss och för fienden i första hand ett ideologiskt krig: Väst mot totalitär islam. Väst står för liv, förnuft, frihet och lycka. Islam står för död, blind tro, diktatur och lidande. Nej, de vill inte ha vårt välstånd eller vår frihet. Nej, de är inte ett dugg avundsjuka på oss. Vad vill de ha? De vill ha våra själar – och om vi inte är villiga att överlämna dem kommer att terrorisera oss, att döda oss.

En del muslimer vill säkert hävda att de extrema muslimerna inte står för islam (notera att under kalla kriget kunde man ibland få höra att Sovjetunionen aldrig representerade kommunismen). Men vad säger islam? Jag ska inte påstå att jag grundligen har studerat islam innan och utan. Jag är ingen ”islamolog”. Det enda jag har läst av Koranen har varit korta utdrag, väl valda citat och liknande. Men sammantaget ger de en väldigt klar bild. Det lär finnas inte mindre än 36 olika verser i Koranen som på ett eller annat sätt sanktionerar terroriserandet och dödandet av icke-muslimer. Ett klassiskt exempel:

And slay them [de icke-troende] wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers. But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers. (Min kursivering.)

Islams apologeter tolkar förstås detta som att muslimer bara har rätt att använda våld i självförsvar, för att få ett slut på ”förföljelsen” (”persecution”) av muslimer. Bortsett från att det finns en tradition bland islams experter, som säger att tidigare verser som motsäger de senare ska betraktas som om de inte längre gäller, vilket betyder att även om denna tolkningen vore korrekt till att börja med så skulle det inte hjälpa islams apologeter det minsta lilla, i och med det finns massor med verser efter denna som säger just att muslimerna ska ägna sig åt slaktandet av icke-troende. Mer om det senare, jag vill först säga ett par saker om just detta stycket. Till att börja med finns det olika översättningar av Koranen. Det finns också en kontext att ta hänsyn till. Låt oss börja med kontexten. Stycket avslutas med: Such is the reward of disbelievers. Detta är, ska det visa sig, helt avgörande för vad muslimerna betraktar som ”förföljelse” av muslimer. Tidigare i samma kapitel där detta stycket är hämtat ifrån framgår det vad man tycks avse med ”förföljelse”: ”And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of Allah, Allah’s name should be celebrated?”. Och:

They question thee (O Muhammad) with regard to warfare in the sacred month. Say: Warfare therein is a great (transgression), but to turn (men) from the way of Allah, and to disbelieve in Him and in the Inviolable Place of Worship, and to expel His people thence, is a greater with Allah; for persecution is worse than killing. And they will not cease from fighting against you till they have made you renegades from your religion, if they can. And whoso becometh a renegade and dieth in his disbelief: such are they whose works have fallen both in the world and the Hereafter. Such are rightful owners of the Fire: they will abide therein. (Min kursivering.)

Det tycks med andra ord inte vara fråga om att muslimer blir DÖDADE av de otrogna, utan att icke-muslimerna inte låter muslimerna fritt få utöva sin religion som utgör ”förföljelse”. Och mycket riktigt är det, inom ramarna för religionsfriheten, en form av förtryck och förföljelse att förhindra en del från att fritt utöva sin religion. Denna tolkning av detta klassiska stycke får också stöd om man ser på en annan översättning av Koranen, en översättning som på sätt och vis verkar mer trogen originalet: ”And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allâh) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allâh (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zâlimûn (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)”

Så, om min förståelse är korrekt, då betyder det att islam sanktionerar slaktandet av människor inte bara på grund av att de inte tillåts att fritt utöva sin religion, utan även om slaktandet syftar till att få alla till att bli muslimer. Ju längre man kommer in i Koranen blir det mer och mer uppenbart att Jihad, dvs ”heligt krig”, dvs slaktandet av oskyldiga i syfte att sprida (och försvara) islam är helt i sin ordning:

Then fight in Allah’s cause – Thou art held responsible only for thyself – and rouse the believers. It may be that Allah will restrain the fury of the Unbelievers; for Allah is the strongest in might and in punishment.

The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): ”I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them.

And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah.

Let not the unbelievers think that they can get the better (of the godly): they will never frustrate (them). Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.

O Prophet! rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers: for these are a people without understanding.

Go ye, then, for four months, backwards and forwards, (as ye will), throughout the land, but know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah (by your falsehood) but that Allah will cover with shame those who reject Him. And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith.

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, cover them with shame, help you (to victory) over them, heal the breasts of Believers.

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed.

O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur’an).

Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah’s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.

Men tänk om en muslim inte vill mörda icke-muslimer? ”Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.” Med andra ord: Eftersom Allah vet bäst är det lika bra att börja kriga och sluta tjafsa. Men var inte orolig, Allah lovar alla martyrer i det heliga kriget en garanterad plats i Paradiset: ”And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass. And if ye die, or are slain, Lo! it is unto Allah that ye are brought together.” ”Those who believe, and suffer exile and strive with might and main, in Allah’s cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation).”

Döm själva: Är islam en fredlig religion?

MCB sägs representera de ”moderata” muslimerna i Storbritannien, men ändå kan de inte konsekvent ta avstånd från terrorism, eller extrema muslimer. Senast idag kunde jag läsa i Telegraph att MCB försöker lägga skulden för Londonbombningarna på Tony Blairs utrikespolitik:

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, condemned the bombings as an ”act of criminality” but said the leaders had made clear that Mr Blair could not ”simply shun the issue of foreign policy”.

Så som ”tack” för att Storbritannien tillsammans med USA befriar 25 miljoner irakier från Saddam Hussein, så verkar ”moderata” muslimer anse att det är ”förståeligt”, ja nästan helt i sin ordning, att muslimer slaktar oskyldiga britter. De mer radikala och extrema muslimerna håller förstås helt med:

Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed said that support for America over Afghanistan and Iraq and the re-election of Mr Blair had all contributed to the attacks.

”I blame the British Government, the British public and the Muslim community in the UK because they failed to make the extra effort to put an end to the cycle of bloodshed which started before 9/11 and on July 7 was devastating for everybody,” he told the Evening Standard.

Anjem Choudary, the British leader of the militant Islamist group al-Muhajiroun, said that Muslim leaders should not meet Mr Blair for talks while Muslims were being ”murdered” in Iraq.

Speaking on Radio 4’s Today programme, he declined to condemn the London bombings, which killed 56 people, and said there was ”a very real possibility” of a repetition.

”The British Government wants to show that they are on the side of justice and of truth, whereas in reality the real terrorists are the British regime, and even the British police, who have tried to divide the Muslim community into moderates and extremists, whereas this classification doesn’t exist in Islam.”

Otroligt men sant. Haaretz rapporterar via Jihadwatch.org:

Less than two weeks since the London terror attacks, the city’s Mayor Ken Livingstone has sparked controversy by defending the use of suicide bombers in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and charging that Israel had indiscriminately slaughtered Palestinians in acts that ”border on crimes against humanity.” ”Given that the Palestinians don’t have jet planes, don’t have tanks, they only have their bodies to use as weapons,” Livingstone told Sky News in an interview. ”In an unfair balance, that’s what people use,” said Livingstone, who has often been strongly critical of Israel in the past. […] Livingstone also said that he does not distinguish between members of Likud and Hamas, branding them ”two sides of the same coin.”

Min advokat avråder mig från att säga vad jag tycker om detta…
