Jag läser just nu om Peter Schwartz In Defense of Selfishness: Why the code of Self-Sacrifice Is Unjust and Destructive. På sidan 193 stötte jag alldeles nyss på denna briljanta konkretisering av omfördelningspolitikens självdestruktiva natur:

When wealth is redistributed everyone’s standard of living is ultimately lowered. Redistribution amounts to a one-time consumption of productive capital—the equivalent of confiscating a thriving factory, dismantling it and selling the bricks to pay for unemployment benefits. Once the factory stops functioning, and the bricks have run out, what then will sustain the “have-nots”?
